Swimwear Warranty & Care Tips
Warranty:
Our swimsuits come with an 18-month warranty from the date of purchase. To maximise the lifespan of your swimsuit, we recommend following these care tips:
1. Understand Your Fabrics:
- Polyamide (80%): Chosen for its strength, durability, and resistance to mildew, polyamide is known for its elasticity and resistance to abrasion. However, it can pick up dye and soil, is sensitive to strong sunlight, and is prone to pilling.
- Elastane (20%): Added for strength and elasticity without weight. It is easily damaged by chlorine bleach and heat, may yellow when exposed to light, and melts at relatively low temperatures. Proper care can help prevent these issues.
2. Minimise Chlorine Exposure:
Our swimwear has chlorine resistance, but it’s best to reduce direct exposure to chlorine, which is a component of bleach. Rinse your swimsuit after swimming to help maintain its quality.
3. Avoid Rough Surfaces:
While our fabric is soft and durable, rough or jagged surfaces can cause scuffs and snags. Be cautious of pool decks and other abrasive surfaces; use a towel when sitting on the poolside to protect your swimsuit.
4. Limit Contact with Lotions and Oils:
Sunscreens, tanning oils, and cosmetics can damage delicate fabrics over time. Rinse off any stains immediately and clean with vinegar or a very mild detergent in cold water. Apply sun lotions before wearing your swimsuit to let them dry first.
5. Follow Care Instructions:
- Hand Wash Only: Use cold water and mild soap. Avoid machine washing, bleach, and fabric conditioners.
- Treat Stains Promptly: Use spot cleaner and gently squeeze out excess water—never wring the fabric.
- Dry Carefully: Lay your swimsuit flat in a shaded, well-ventilated area. Avoid hanging, which can stretch the fibres and lead to water pooling at the bottom.
6. Proper Storage:
- Store your swimsuit at room temperature in a breathable environment—avoid plastic containers to prevent mildew.
- Rotate Your Suits: Have a few swimsuits to alternate between, giving each one time to dry and regain its shape. A 24-hour break is beneficial for maintaining elasticity.
